I didn’t swear one single time until I was in college. As a teen, I was convinced without any doubt that if I were to say “the F word” even once, the Earth would explode. If you read my writings now, and then look around you, you will see that F-bomb usage by me did NOT and WILL not, in fact, cause the destruction of the planet.

I told my dad about this belief many years later. Aghast, he furrowed his brow and said, “That’s not normal!” No fu… No duh, Dad.
